INFORMATION SYSTEMS

The major in Information Systems is designed to meet the needs of today’s business, to effectively use information systems for decision making and efficient running of the business in a competitive environment. This program is intended to exploit the emerging technology of Information Management. The major area of emphasis is built around three themes, namely Internet Technology, Information Systems Design and Development of Information Systems Strategies for effective management of Information Systems based business projects.

- Understand the uses and designs of Information systems in an organization.
- Be familiar with programming, networking and implementation of Information systems in Business.
- Prepare to explore the complexity of Information systems responsibilities through development of software projects for business applications.
- Arrange opportunity for internship that provides hands on experience useful for continuous learning.

Duration
|
- Total credits required for graduation – 120
- The 4 year – 8 semester degree program can be accelerated by taking summer semesters.
- Morning class – 0930 to 13:00 Hrs, Evening class – 1900 to 2200 Hrs
|
|
Recognition
|
At the end of duration of the program, students are awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree mentioning their area of specialization. Degrees are recognized and stamped by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE
|
|

There are three admission intakes for the BBA program namely July, September and January each year
